Museum of Love open for visitors!

In time for Valentine’s Day, I’m pleased to announce the launch of my newest project, the Museum of Love (www.museumoflove.org). For some time now, I’ve thought it would be fun to create an imaginary online museum to showcase all of my Lover’s Path-oriented publications. I mean, the Lover’s Path site does this to a certain extent. But you always remain aware that it’s a site devoted to the Lover’s Path, not all things deliciously romantic.
I’d like to think that the Museum of Love is the most imaginatively romantic place on the web. I’d also like to think that the Museum will help to light the flames of love — and also offer cathartic experiences for the bruised of heart. (Which I guess means all of us!)
Within this museum of the imagination, there’s lots of flash animations, adapted from the Lover’s Path, as well as retellings of famous love stories like Cupid and Psyche. There’s excerpts from The Lover’s Path and The Lover’s Path Tarot. I’ve also set up a section to send e-love letters bearing my art. And, of course, the Lover’s Path Tarot oracle is available for consultation 24/7! If you feel especially inspired, visit the museum gift shop, which stocks intensely romantic gifts, some exclusive to the Museum of Love.
I hope you will soon pay a visit to the Museum of Love. Unlike a “real” museum, you can visit anytime and from any place. All you need is love — and a computer.
orders, we got orders….
This week has been spent basically getting back to speed at Art and Words, after a leisurely holiday break. But I wanted to mention that all Lover’s Path Tarot limited edition orders placed during this period are going out tomorrow — my first opportunity to get to the post office since before christmas!
I appreciate everyone’s patience. I really should have posted that a slow down was on the horizon, but ran out of time before the holidays.
I also want to resume my Goddess Painting of the Day feature. The gears are slowly getting back to speed….
welcome to ‘007
This sounds so much more exciting than the usual happy new year, don’t you think?
In any event, I started my new year by finding this lovely review of my illustrated novel, The Lover’s Path on the Endicott Studio for Mythic Arts’ website. Not a bad way to begin ‘007! Here’s an excerpt from the review:
“…a gorgeous new book, The Lover’s Path, from artist and author, Kris Waldherr. This is the tale of Filamena Ziani, a 16th century singer from Venice (and sister to Tullia Ziani a well-known courtesan at the time … The book is sumptuous from the rich Florentine end papers, to Kris lovely illustrations, and all the wonderful little surprises within the book: envelopes with Filamena’s letters and smaller illustrations. It is a treasure trove of art and literature. Do visit The Lover’s Path website which has an excerpt from the book, examples of the interior art, a short flash animation film on Venice of the 16th century, and more. This is a really splendid book.”
