Publishing Monday: Lover’s Path Tarot goes digital

Now that The Goddess Tarot has been published as an iPhone app, I guess it was only a matter of time. So, without further ado, here’s a first look at the Love Tarot app, featuring The Lover’s Path Tarot.

While the Love Tarot app has a similar interface to The Goddess Tarot app, it has some notable differences. First off, it has a reversed card feature—you can choose to read with only upright cards or include reverses simply by tapping a button. The Full* version of the app has a hidden “easter egg” video, which reveals the hidden history of the Lover’s Path. It also offers four readings: one card oracle, past-present-future, celtic cross, and the burning question.

(*Like The Goddess Tarot app, The Love Tarot app will be available as a Lite free version and paid Full version.)

As with The Goddess Tarot app, you can view all 78 cards and art in detail. Also featured: the 22 individual love stories which inspired The Lover’s Path Tarot. These range from Cupid and Psyche to Tristan and Isolde—very romantic!

As you might imagine, I’ve been very hard at work on this app, along with my long aborning New Book proposal. (More about the New Book in a future post!). That written, app development is definitely easier the second time around. Right now, the Love Tarot app just about ready to be submitted to Apple (cross fingers). Estimated release date: October 3, 2009.

Oh, and here’s a heads up: I’ll be giving away ten copies of the Full version of the app when it’s released in my next newsletter. (Not on my mailing list? Sign up here.)

Definitely gorgeous.. and Amy, you are right, you need an iPhone. I have the Goddess App. and it’s a great boredom buster as well and beautiful!

Thanks, all, for your comments!~ Amy, it also works on an iPod Touch (which is what I have).

Here’s an update on the Love Tarot app. It was submitted to Apple early this week. Supposedly 87% of apps are approved by Apple within two weeks. If that’s the case for me, the app should be ready by my release date of October 3rd. (Cross fingers and all.)

Oh, and I’ve decided to give away 25 copies of the Full version of the app to my mailing list! It’s fun to be generous. :)
